GOAT – Gathering for Open Agriculture Technology

A community of practice and a conference to identify what exists & what is missing in the open agricultural technology landscape. “The technologies that produce our food and the data about our food system should be public, and enable control by the farms and farmers that produce it. Together, we can collectively address the problems which prevent the creation of advanced, high quality open technology and its adoption.”

GODAN – Global Open Data for Agriculture & Nutrition

A tool becomes a tool through documentation and communication. A tool can be a physical object, or a method or framework that can be documented (i.e. software).
